Dear brothers and sisters;

As-salamo alaikom wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh;

Alhamdolillah, with the Grace of Allah (SWT), the Adjustment Committee of the City of Toronto, have approved our application to have the parking requirement waived for the property at 84 Adelaide St. East, and therefore, insha’a Allah, the closing date for the property will remain as scheduled on April 30, 2012.

Insha’a Allah, the required renovations will start right after the closing and the Masjid will be ready for prayers as soon as possible, insha’a Allah.

We are grateful to Allah (s.w.t) for making this project possible, and we thank you, all the brothers and sisters who participated either with financial donations, or work and ideas or encouragement, and dua. May Allah accept all your donations and efforts and reward you multiples. Amen.

ESTIMATED COST OF RENOVATION

Our rough estimate for the cost of renovation of the NEW MASJID is $250,000.00. We need to raise this money fron now until April 30th. Please donate generously (online). You can also use this pledge form New Masjid Donation Form. May Allah built you houses and palaces in the Jannah.

2nd prayer: Khotba starts: 1:00 PM and Iqamah (around): 1:25 PM

3rd prayer: Khotba starts: 1:50 PM and Iqamah (around): 2:15 PM

Special request: Please come to the next prayer if the Masjid is full.

After Shahadah Program

This is a reminder that the sessions for the ‘After shahadah program’ is held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 PM, insha’a Allah. The sessions are held in class room 03 , on the second floor.

Masjid Toronto’s 2010 Iqama Times are now available for download. Great for printing and posting on the fridge. With the iqama times, you can now know exactly when we pray the five prayers at the masjid in congregation.

The Prophet (Allah bless him & give him peace) said, “If people knew the reward in praying Fajr and Isha in congregation, they would go to the mosque even if they had to crawl.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

And also,“Prayer in congregation is superior to prayer alone by twenty seven degrees.” [Bukhari & Muslim, from Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him)]
