Family Day: The Quran & Our Kids

It’s time for families to meet, learn, and socialize at Masjid Toronto. All families and individuals are welcome to enjoy this good time at Masjid Toronto, on Saturday, February 10th 2018, right after Dhuhr (12:40 pm). The program will be followed by lunch.

Our guest is Dr. Mostafa Hanout, the Imam for our Taraweeh prayers. He will speak about various topics including: motivation, memorization and learning the meaning of the Quran with our families.

This was a seminar on how to invest in stock market in a Shariah-compliant way.  Topics that were covered in the seminar include:

  • Musharakah – Islamic financial contract relevant to stock market
  • Similarities and differences between Musharakah and common stock
  • Limited liability of a company – Islamic perspective
  • Shariah stock screening process – qualitative and quantitative screening of a stock
  • Shariah stock screening methodologies used by Dow Jones, Standard & Poors, Morgan Stanley, FTSE/Yaser and Securities Commission of Malaysia
  • Shariah rulings on Zakah on stocks
  • Purification of capital gains and dividend income

Imam Dr. Wael Shehab’s new course on the ‘Fiqh of Seerah: Understanding the biography of Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s peace be upon him’ every Tuesday after Maghrib.

Join us and our Imam, Dr. Wael Shehab, as he explores the beautiful and practical Seerah of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Studying the Seerah is one of the ways that lead to loving the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and following his morals and values. It is also meant to introduce the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, as the ideal application of the Qur’an to people. It will also refute some distortions about the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and his biography.

Join our Youth camp this coming weekend from Saturday after Dhuhr to Sunday after Dhuhr for an action packed time at Masjid Toronto. Be part of a spiritual retreat in the last 10 blessed days of Ramadan.

Details of the program will sent to the registered attendees. This camp is absolutely free and absolutely fun.
