It’s time for families to meet, learn, and socialize at Masjid Toronto. All families and individuals are welcome to enjoy this good time at Masjid Toronto, on Saturday, December 10th, right after Dhuhr (12:30 pm).
It is our duty, as Muslim parents, to instill into our kids the Prophet’s love. We also should make sure that his love grows daily in our and their hearts.
We have identified an urgent need to help settle the 500 Syrian newcomers who are coming to Canada within the next 3 weeks by December 31st, 2016.
Sign up for the Ansar Muhajiroon program – This is a longer term commitment to be assigned as a ‘host’ with a specific Syrian newcomer family and to help them integrate into the society. This is a very rewarding position with a support network established to help the host. If you agree to be a host you will:
a) Undergo a Vulnerable Sector Screening check.
b) Sign up for 2 hour training session. Those who sign up to be a host will get a separate email with training materials.
c) Be generally available at least 2 weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to help the refugees in the first week.
d) Speak Arabic or have someone in your family or circle of friends who speaks Arabic and is willing to help.
Masjid Toronto hosted a special program on ‘Sleep, Sleep Disorders and Sleep Hygiene‘.
Our speakers, Imam Dr. Wael Shehab & Dr. Abdullah Khayat spoke on the Islamic significance and morals of sleep and sleep disorders and sleep hygiene, respectively, specially with the month of Ramadan ahead of us.
Alhamdulillah Masjid Toronto has been able to secure another unit neighboring our Masjid in Adelaide St. for $1.8 million allowing us to expand our prayer space. This additional space will help us accommodate our ever-growing community and the professionals working in Downtown Toronto.
Help us raise $950,000.00 in the final phase of our project to cover the costs of renovations and repayment of Qard Hasan due in the next six months.
Imam Dr. Wael Shehab’s new course on the ‘Fiqh of Seerah: Understanding the biography of Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s peace be upon him’ every Tuesday after Maghrib.
Join us and our Imam, Dr. Wael Shehab, as he explores the beautiful and practical Seerah of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Studying the Seerah is one of the ways that lead to loving the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and following his morals and values. It is also meant to introduce the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, as the ideal application of the Qur’an to people. It will also refute some distortions about the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and his biography.
Alhamdulillah, Masjid Toronto has two locations in downtown Toronto. The first is Masjid Toronto at Dundas (168 Dundas St. West ) and the second is Masjid Toronto at Adelaide (84 Adelaide St. East).
